Announcement: TRA.D.E. Classes

Good day! An email containing your child's schedule and the frequently asked questions pertaining to the TRA.D.E. Classes has been sent to those who enrolled prior to July 16, 2020. For those who will enroll after July 16, please expect to receive the email within 1-2 business days.




What is the TRA.D.E. Class?

The TRA.D.E. Class is a series of classes with lessons designed to assist our students to transition from traditional face-to-face to distance education mode of learning. Topics to be discussed include Digital Citizenship, Time Management, Using Apps for Online Learning, among others. Enrichment activities will also be given to the students to review important concepts from the previous school year. In a way, it can be considered as trial classes for S.Y. 2020-2021.


What is my child's schedule?

Classes will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from July 27 to August 14, 2020. An email containing your child's schedule, as well as a copy of this FAQ Sheet was sent today. Those who will enroll after July 15 will receive their emails within 1-2 business days.


Who may join the classes?

All enrolled students are free to join the classes. 


What apps will be used?

For students from the Preschool, Lower Grade School, and Upper Grade School Departments, ZOOM will be used for video conferencing. The High School students will be using Google Meet. Other apps that will be used will be introduced during the classes.


What gadgets are required?

Students are encouraged to use a desktop PC, laptop, or tablet to maximize the use of the apps. Here are the recommended specifications:

Laptop/Desktop

Operating System: Windows or Mac OS

Processor: Dual Core or better

RAM: 2GB or higher

HDD: 320 GB or larger

Browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

Internet Speed: 2 MBPS (1 user), 5MBPS (2-3 users)


Tablet

Model: Tablets capable of running Pie (Android) or iOS 11 or better

Browser: Dolphin (Android) or Puffin (iOS)

Internet Speed: 4G or LTE



Will a schedule be provided?

Yes. It will be sent to the email addresses you provided during registration, as well as a link to the digital learning kit. An announcement will be posted on our website or on our Facebook page once the emails have been sent.



Are students required to attend the classes?

Although it is not part of the attendance for the regular school year, we are highly encouraging our students to join the classes.
